This must be a good quality melatonin because I am sleeping much better with it. I have a high stress job and sometimes it is hard to turn off the brain at bed time. Waking up in the middle of the night and starting to think about stressful things doesnt do anyone any good either. I find that I sleep through the night more consistently with this product rather than the other two that I have tried. The price is pretty good too.

I have found this product to be truly excellent. I take it about 45 minutes before bed time and sleep like a rock. I am very happy with it and highly recommmend it.

I have been using this product for almost 2 months now and have found it to work well. I have a really stessful job and sometimes have trouble sleeping; especially sunday nights, anticipating how the week will go. I have had much less trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It is not that my sleep has been flawless, its just that it has been much improved and I expect to catch less colds next winter by having this extra rest.

I have not been so fortunate with some of the other melatonin products that I gave up on over the years but this one was recommended by my boss.

I find that this product works very well for me. I am a wrestless sleeper but found that this product not only helps me sleep better in general but I wake up less often then with other melatonin products that I have tried. I recommend this product and will continue to buy it.

I’m 5′4 (with average shoulder width) and after measuring I found I was borderline between average and petite. I decided to go with average, and without seeing the petite one, I think I probably got the right size.

I’m addicted to side sleeping, even though it was terrible for my jaw problems (I have bruxism and TMJ). Every pillow I’ve ever tried has had my head’s weight resting right on top of my jawline.

After 3 nights I have significantly less swelling in my cheeks and jaw. I can feel it with my hands where the muscles are not as tense. Why? Now when I sleep I’m distributing the weight evenly all around my head, not on my ears or jaw. The position also just creates a lovely stretch in my neck, a very gentle one, that naturally makes my jaws want to say loose and relaxed. Before I would almost tuck my chin inward towards my neck, and that made me want to clinch. The strain in my neck is now gone. I love how it cradles my head when I turn to sleep on my back, which i do sometimes. It’s amazing…no pressure.

This pillow does take some adjustments, however. When I sleep on my side I have to move over some, away from the center. I, at first, had to search around a little to find the indentation in the pillow where my ear and jaw are supposed to be. Since I often toss and turn while I am asleep (or half asleep) the first night was a little difficult. The first night I slept on it incorrectly (at some point) and I woke up with a small ear ache. But now I think I am subconsciously adjusting to it, realizing I can’t sleep on my side if I keep my head cradled in the middle. Each night just gets better and better. I know I make the first night sound bad, but even the first night was still good, since I slept like a baby.

I’ve always been one of those folks who likes to sleep with one arm under the pillow. That won’t work with this pillow at all. I feel I have no place to put that arm, but I’m adjusting. This pillow had made me realize how tight my shoulders really are, and I’m starting to stretch them more. I just feel so good about sleeping in proper alignment position and that outweighs any negative experiences I’ve had so far. And, again, the no pressure on the jaw is wonderful.

This pillow was recommended by my chiropractor. It really does work well – definitely keeps your shoulders from scrunching underneath. It’s concept makes sense that you could roll to back and either side easily and still have support without having to readjust your pillow. But I share a queen-sized bed and when I roll to my side, I turn in place. If I were to roll the way the pillow was designed for me to roll, I’d need such a wide margin of the bed. The pillow is 25.5″ wide so if you’re on your side, where could your arms go comfortably and not invade the other side of the bed? I needed the pillow so bad that I dealt with having to move the pillow to my head’s position instead. But I found that I would lay my head in the wrong spot in the middle of the night b/c of the space problem, thus negating the purpose of the pillow. Once my pain was better, I moved onto a Tempurpedic pillow. Now I have this pillow I don’t know what to do with.

  7. Ahlen says:

After having a ruptured disk in my neck from sleeping funny on my old pillow, I switched to this one. Since using this pillow I have not had any neck or back pain or kinks. This pillow is good if you are a back sleeper because the pillow craddles your head so that your head doesn’t flop to one side or the other. The reason I only gave it a 4* versus a 5* is that I have a little trouble getting comfortable when I first lay down at night. I actually took a knife and scissors and had to cut some material from the neck area to soften and shorted the slope that was originally there, but again I have had no back or neck issues when I awaken so it is worth the initial getting comfy issue over pain and kinks!!

I ordered this pillow on the recommendation of my chiropractor (and yes, my chiropractor measured me). For the first 1.5 weeks, it was painful to sleep on, but I kept at it. For the next 1.5 weeks, I loved it and I noticed a huge improvement in my posture. What happened after that point was that the pillow noticeably ‘broke down’ and no longer supported my cervical and thoracic vertebrae in the same way (it got real squishy). I am a side sleeper and so I bought this to maintain my alignment while sleeping on my side. The pillow, however, compressed more and never maintained its structural integrity such that my alignment then changed and I began having my ‘old’ pains once again. I contacted the company, Therapeutica, several times with my concerns, with no answer. Finally, several weeks later, I received an email back requesting my receipt, etc. with the receptionist, Wendy the General Office Manager, stating that she would have to check in with a supervisor to see if it would be possible to exchange the product. 3.5 weeks later, she informed me that I would have to send the pillow into their New York office so that they could test it on “their machine” to determine whether the foam had broken down. Now, I agree that the product must be sent in to be inspected, however, the need for a machine to confirm my own experience with pain? Not to mention the fact that one can physically FEEL the pillow on all its sides and SEE that the foam has obviously broken down in the area that juts up against one’s shoulder. (Yes, I followed their directions on how to sleep on the pillow to a T, in order to sleep on it correctly.) I don’t know about any of you, but this is THE MOST HASSLE and WORST COMMUNICATION I have ever had with a company and their product guarantee. BUYER BEWARE!

Sidenote: before purchasing this pillow, I had requested advice from the company re: the differences between the full sized pillow and the travel sized pillow. Wendy, had informed me at that time that the travel sized pillow offered the same exact support as the full sized pillow and that for my needs, the travel sized pillow “was perfect”. Once the pillow broke down, however, she changed her comments and stated that the company had not received many comments re: the travel pillow and that it was a TRAVEL pillow and not meant to be slept on every night. I, for one, have never heard that about any kind of pillow. Perhaps the company thinks that we should have revolving pillows that we purchase from them?

Tylenol is an over-the-counter medication that contains as its active ingredient “Acetaminophen”. Acetaminophen is an analgesic drug that treats mild to moderate pain, making it a great headache reliever, or a medication that treats mild strains, sprains, toothaches, etc. It also acts to reduce fever. Acetaminophen is commonly used in place of aspirin for those allergic to aspirin. One drawback of Acetaminophen is that it does not reduce inflammation (therefore, it has limited use in arthritis swelling reduction). It has few side-effects. Those with liver disease should avoid Acetaminophen, as it is hard on the liver.

Tylenol (Acetaminophen) came into great prominence when aspirin fell out of favor due to the incidence of Reye’s Syndrome and aspirin in children.

Tylenol is the manufacturer’s proprietary name for Acetaminophen. There is a generic form of Acetaminophen that is also sold over the counter, and this version is much cheaper than “Tylenol”, and the container usually contains more tablets/pills, etc. The generic form of Acetaminophen is just as effective as Tylenol, just cheaper priced.

Sometimes Acetaminophen is combined with other medications for dual action. For example, Tylenol PM has diphenhydramine (the active ingredient in Benadryl), which causes sedation and acts like a good sleeping pill. Diphenhydramine also is an anti-histamine, so it work for itching and allergies too.

All in all, Acetaminophen is a great product. If you want a “name brand” of Acetaminophen, Tylenol is your brand (although it will cost more). My choice is to by the generic brand as it is cheaper by the dozen.

I am hyper-sensitive to medications but suffer from arthritis and fibromialgia. So I only take one instead of the two recommended. But it still works for me. I sleep better and wake up feeling less achy and am able to function better during the day thanks to Tylenol PM.

My husband snores, so I use these earplugs to sleep every night. I have tried many kinds, and these are the best I have found. They do not block out the snoring entirely (I have never found a kind that does that), but they ‘take the edge off’ so that I can fall asleep.

Another think I like about them is this: Since they are foam, they let your ears ‘breathe’ a little more than the wax or silicone ones. Sometimes, wearing earplugs to bed at night can lead to sinus infections and other nasty stuff, but I have never had a problem with this foam kind.

Highly recommended by someone who has tried them all.

  12. Ibsen says:

I discovered foam ear plugs when I lived in New York City, where they were commonly sold in subway stations. Silicone, plastic, and wax earplugs had proven insufficient defense against loud neighbors and street noise. These foam earplugs were far more effective and comfortable than other types. I think I literally would not have survived years living in places even louder than New York if not for these earplugs. I couldn’t have slept without them.

The ear plugs have a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29 decibels, which is higher than any other ear plugs on the market. They block out a lot of noise, but they are more effective at blocking higher frequency sound than low-frequency. This means that you won’t be able to hear the telephone if you sleep with ear plugs in, but you might hear the neighbor’s lawn mower. Their effectiveness at blocking out noise from machinery really depends upon the pitch, but foam ear plugs will always lower the volume somewhat. They’re pretty good at blocking background chatter, television, or music.

I’ve used both Flents “Quiet! Please” and E*A*R brands, which are identical apart from color. Flents are off-white. E*A*R plugs are yellow. They are easy to use. You simply roll the ear plug between your fingers to squish it, then insert it in your ear canal. It expands to fit your ear snugly. Each ear plug can be used a few times before it has to be trashed. If you need noise relief in order to sleep or concentrate, Flents “Quiet! Please” ear plugs will be a great help.
