After having a lot of trouble at night with my girlfriend because of my snoring I start to use the Nasal Strips. They work fine for me for at least 4 weeks. But there are some disadvantages why I no longer use them. The first thing is that you have to place the strip very very accurate to get a good breath effect. The second thing is the kind of pain by detaching the strips. The third thing are the costs for always buying new strips. But the most disadvantage for me is that you look very dumb when you are wearing the Nasal Strip. At this time I use the so called “Snore Stopper” buying from Amazon. Its one little silicon spiral which you can put in your nose during nighttime. They are far ahead in enhancing your breathe at night. You wear them inside your nares and so they look much more unobtrusive. You only pay once and can use them for years. You also can put them in a dishwasher for cleaning. In every pack there are 2 snore stops. So I leave one at my girlfriends home and one at my
Nasal strips keep sweating off?

My wife complained about my snoring and suggested I try the Breathe Right strips. After trying the small and the large found out the large fits me much better. I don’t hear myself snore, but since I’ve been using these I haven’t gotten the elbow to the ribs (I always loved that).
Then I tried a Walmart brand (thought I could save some money), but they would not stay on my nose, so I am back to the Breathe Right brand.
The instructions recommend that you prep your nose first (wash), but I don’t need to do anything, which is great.
I have been using them for at least a year and have been very happy with them.
These “Tan” strips seem to hold better than the clear. My wife and I are sleeping better and seems to have cured a slight case of sleep apnea where our light snoring wake us up repeatedly.
This helped reduce my snoring, but not eliminate it. I’m a heavy snorer, so I imagine this would work better for someone who is a light/medium snorer. If my girlfriend would just wear earplugs, then I wouldn’t have to wear these crazy contraptions. Anyway, it’s worth trying it out, but don’t expect any miracles unless you buy them from Jesus.
These gizmos work wonders. They reduce snoring/apnea by a simple mechanical solution of holding your nostrils open. Much more effective than nasal surgery or decongestants. Unfortunately, they are expensive since there is only one brand.
Very comfortable! Great supplier!
The best on the market. On one occasion, after running out of Breathe Right brand strips, I reluctanly tried another store brand of strips. With the store brand, I felt like I was ripping the skin off my nose when I removed the strip the next morning. Not only that but it felt like I had a large bandage on my nose all night.
With the Breathe Right strips, I do feel a little bit of a let down the next morning when I remove it. As breathing through your nose returns to normal. Must be because they work so good.
Highly recommended purchase through Amazon.
THE PRODUCT IS FINE. MY GRIPE IS I PAID $11.63 ON 2/13/10 VS $6.XX AND WAS CHARGED $4.55 FOR SHIPPING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PART OF AN $80 ORDER. WHAT’S MORE IT CAME US MAIL IN A CRUSHED PACKAGE. STAY AWAY FROM ALLTHETIMEWHOLESALE! WHAT A RIPOFF.
Here was the problem. I kept waking up in the middle of the night because my nasal passages would collapse when my head was turned sideways. Not a good thing if you want a good night’s rest.
I tried the tan version first. Horrible. I had a red welt across the bridge of my nose in two days where the adhesive ripped my skin off, even after trying to loosen them up in the shower.
I went to the clear strips which have lower adhesive properties. Perfect, I now sleep through the night, and I can remove them in the morning without removing flesh.
At the time of this review this offer goes for probably the best non-subscription price. Shipping is free; that’s very good. It’s just barely 30 cents per nasal strip. Without getting a subscription, that is better than the expected range of what one expects to pay. The only way to know the price is to itemize per nasal strip. It doesn’t matter how many come in a box. What counts is only the price per unit, providing the size unit is your size (large, medium and small).
If you shop for the best price right now and are willing to get it by subscription, you can get them for 28 cents per strip. Even so, it’s not cheap enough over the long term if you intend to use them every night. The price simply has to come down at some point. That’s $102.20 per year for this habit at the cheapest price. And it’s just for a little strip that sticks on your nostrils and makes them flare out a little. Of course, it’s a great product and it really helps one breathe during sleep. Yet it costs very little to manufacture per unit and you could fit a year’s supply in one pocket if you just had the units and not the boxes.
This is a great product but I feel strongly that the price should be reduced out of fairness to the consumer.
This is a very good product. The strips are comfortable to wear. They really are an instant fix for stuffy noses.
I love Breathe Right Nasal Strips, and I’ve been using them every night for years. I have hayfever and I snore, so I was definitely a candidate to use them. I didn’t think they would make much of a difference, but it’s like night and day. To get an idea of what they could do for you, gently grab your nostrils and pull them down and apart. Ahhhh.
The instructions say you will need to use them for a few nights to retrain yourself to breathe through your nose while sleeping. I used to often, if not usually, wake up with a dried-out mouth (from breathing with my mouth open), but with a nose strip on, this never happens. I also wake up feeling much more refreshed. Once you get used to sleeping with these, you feel miserable trying to sleep without one.
In fact, in the morning when you peel it off, you’ll wish you could leave it on. I sometimes *have* left them on. I’ve even forgotten and gone out in public with them on (which hardly seems to draw a second glance).
If your complexion isn’t too oily, you may be able to get double duty out of a strip by using it twice. Save the little pull tabs to replace in the morning, and weight the strip to flatten it. I used to use each strip twice and only rarely had any trouble with them sticking the second night. But after doing this for a long time, I got to feeling like they didn’t work as well the second night, so now I only use each strip once. Still, it’s nice to know you have that as an option if you are running out or just can’t afford them otherwise. Be sure to wash your nose immediately before applying the strip (and use an astringent if your complexion is oily).
If you are wondering if the small/medium is big enough for you, it almost certainly is. I recommend these to all my friends, and even those with the biggest of noses use this size (including men). You might need the large size only if you have a very broad nose. If you have any doubt, check the Breathe Right website (breatheright.com), which currently offers a free sample.
I also recommend these, the clear “sensitive skin” variety, over the regular tan ones. These look better (a valid consideration if you don’t sleep alone or wish to wear them during the day for exercise or when you have a cold) and stick just fine. The tan version sticks a little *too* well, are painful to remove, and once took a chunk out of my nose!
As others have noted, the strips feel a little weird at first, but you’ll quickly get used to it. As I said, I sometimes forget I even have one on. Give yourself time to adjust, and you’ll love these.
I can’t recommend this product enough. If you have allergies, problems with snoring, or a deviated septum, or if you wake up with a dry mouth, you need these.
This is a great alternative for kids when they have a stuffy nose and can’t breathe at night. My son loves putting these one at night, he describes it as his “nose opening up” which sounds like I too am getting a better nights sleep! Try these before medicine, they might just do the trick!
My wife likes these strips because she says they decrease my snoring. You can tell the difference when you put them on. The only problem I have with them is that they stick a little too well. I’m concerned that they will cause irritation to the skin on my nose after a while. I’ve noticed on certain days there is a slight redness when it is removed. I’m going to keep an eye on it and will update if I have any more information. I’ve been using this version for over a month now.
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R11JEQ2SMBPS1V These things definitely help me sleep better but this morning when I took one off, it removed a layer of skin from my nose!
I tried the STANDARD adhesive Breathe Right Nasal Strips which worked OK until I ventured outside in the HOUSTON climate [NOW IT'S LIKE A STEAM BATH]. Later I tried the EXTRA adhesive Breathe Right Nasal Strips and they worked better than expected. The MAIN problem was the expense at the local Pharmacy. These from AMAZON are priced more in line with the local pharmacy’s STANDARD strip prices.
Never tried the regular strips but these 50% stronger strips help my husband sleep at night and have decreased his snoring and his night time movement. They have made a big difference for him!
I use these strips every nite to be able to breath through my nose and to stop snoring. I feel refreshed when I wake up. No more stuffy nose in the morning. Money well spent.
Opens up nasal passages to help with breathing while you sleep. The menthol greatly helps as well. Very pleased with this product.
I used to lie awake at night waiting for my husband to start breathing again. It was very inconsistant. With the nose strips, he now breathes evenly and feels more refreshed in the morning. A much cheaper and more convenient solution to an oxygen mask and/or surgery. Our only difficulty is that the skin on his nose is constantly red from peeling them off.
The delivery was fast and the price was great. I will purchase from this company again!
