I suffer from Acid Reflux and my doctor recommended elevating the head of the bed or using a bed wedge. I tried pillows and found them to be very uncomfortable. This bed wedge works as advertised but is a little too short (length) and narrow (Width). This makes it a bit uncomfortable, specially on the lower back and arms. Its a great improvement from using pillows to create an incline but my arms hang down the sides and I had to add to the length by using pillows in the end. Based on the wear patters on it now I anticipate having to replace it in 3 – 6 months. A longer and wider bed wedge would be much better. I found a wider and longer bed wedge online and intent to purchase it when this one wears out.Pros: Better than using pillows to create an incline. Comfortable if you have a small to medium upper body frame.Cons: Too short (Length). I had to add to length using pillows in order to be able to use it comfortably without back pain. Too narrow (Width)so arms hang down the sides.

I have fms and Circadian Rhythm Disorder. This supplement don’t always work, but so as prescription med. It’s supplement so I don’t mind that it is not nearly strong as prescription med. But this supplement still works when it does!! Which is very good, any little help to keep my day and night rhythm is helpful. I have tried some other supplements for sleep including melatonin, but I could not see the effect to keep me going with them. This supplement seems to pass through my system fairly quickly so, no morning grogginess, and it does not help me to stay sleep, but help to put me sleep. I still use prescription occasionally, but I use this more often because this supplement feels easier on my body and works sometime.
After a bad bout of sciatica where I was taking pain pills, once the pain calmed down, I still needed something to help me sleep at night. I found this product and it has been so helpful. Being older, I wake up several times a night, but I am almost always able to get back to sleep, and I don’t wake up with any medication after-effects like I did with the pain pills. I take 2 every night when I go to bed and they work like a charm.
I have been using this product for about seven years now and hate to be without it. Before I tried this I tried melatonin, but found out the hard way that melatonin can make anxiety worse even if it’s not a bad anxiety problem to begin with(I was only dealing with pre-wedding nerves at the time). Also, I’ve heard that taking melatonin can actually make your body not produce as much of it naturally so you can end up essentially having to take melatonin supplements for the long haul. So I tried this and within the first couple nights of taking it noticed a big difference – I got to sleep quickly, got back to sleep easily after waking up for a bathroom run, and woke up without any hangover effect. I also went from having nightmares regularly to rarely, and very rarely now. I did stop taking it for about a year a while back, but then began taking it again when the stress of grad school kicked in, so I can say from experience that it’s not addictive, though I really don’t like to run out of it! Valerian (one of the main ingredients of this product) by itself, though much cheaper, does not work nearly as well for me. Perhaps this could be the placebo effect, but I really don’t care why this product works, I just know it works for me. The generic of this product offered by the big natural food chain works just as well, but the big bottle of Fatigued to Fantastic is almost always cheaper per pill. I think the directions say you can take one to four pills, but I only have to take one, and every once in a while (like twice a year maybe) take a second if I don’t get to sleep within a few minutes of going to bed, so the big bottle does last me three months -just don’t leave the bottle where moisture can get to it. So, I’ve done all the homework for you. Give it a try, and Happy Sleeping.
This was horrible it made my heart race and I did not sleep well at all!
I tried a sample of this product one evening when I was feeling elevated stress from overwork and anxiety over the next day’s meeting. For me, its effect hit in about 45 minutes, noticeable like any other muscle relaxer but subtle enough just to mute some of that brain noise. I slept through the night and felt totally renewed the next day. The only downside I’ve noticed is that–as another reviewer pointed out–it can make you a bit groggy the next morning. Give yourself room for 8-9 hours rest. A recommended product, and a great price on Amazon.com. (I see it’s about half-price what I saw at a health food store.)
My recommendation to anyone struggling with stress, and perhaps sleep disturbance, is to practice meditation before bed. Taking this herbal supplement can be a perfect complement to the meditation–and only the latter is habit-forming. Even if you watch TV near bedtime, give yourself even 5 minutes to sit calmly on a cushion or chair and simply observe your breath. Then go to sleep. As with the treatment of depression, the best treatment blends meds and therapy. Expect no panacea.
Valerian root tea is itself an excellent sleep aid. The benefit of the Relaxall herbs, however, is that it lacks the utter wet-sock stench of pure valerian tea. Nevertheless, the tea (see Ten Ren) can be found in the aisles of Asian markets (99 Ranch).
If you have trouble sleeping, this is a good product to try. I have chronic insomnia that has gone on for years, decades. I find that my best stragegy is to switch between products … and this one is now in my repetoire.
I have found that on the “morning afterward” this product can make me feel really groggy. However, I have also seen that the condition is very temporary–once I commit to functioning the gogginess is gone.
I bought the 7 in. wedge and it works great. My reflux was improved dramatically.
This is a comfortable wedge pillow for acid reflux problems. It definitely needs a pillow at the very top though, otherwise you will get a neck ache. After using it for two weeks, I got a slight back ache. Overall though, it is firm enough and works well.
I had to sleep inclined after surgery and this wedge was just what I needed. It’s firm but comfortable and the zip off cover is convenient.
This wedge has been the relief I needed. Very well made shipping very fast. Looks and holds it shape. You wont be dissapointed.
This purchase was for a terminal cancer patient with extreemly swollen legs, ankles and feet. The condition was not improving with medication. After a few weeks of using the Leg Elevator, while sleeping at night, the swelling has subsided and the medication has been discontinued. We are very pleased with the purchase. However, the shipping charges seemed to be extreemly high for the light weight being shipped.
