I found this product at a health food store & it began working on the 3rd night. My Whole Foods doesn’t sell it so I am repurchasing through Amazon. Works well but not the 1st or 2nd night.

First, thanks to the other reviews that led me to purchase this melatonin. I became interested in melatonin after reading an article for people who have trouble sleeping. I wake up every night at 3a.m, and have trouble going back to sleep. The article indicated that melatonin resets your sleep rhythms, and helps sleeping through the night. I purchased these and LOVE them. I’ve taken sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and other things prescribed to sleep before, but the melatonin works the best for me. I do have lots of dreams, but I wake up feeling like I got the best sleep ever! I saw my doctor last week and asked if there was any problems with me taking these regularly and he said no, I could take it every night if I wanted.
I love melatonin. like many have said, it doesn’t leave you with the hangover groggy feeling when you wake up. Many times i’ll stay up 2-3 hours tossing and turning not being able to fall asleep, melatonin helps take care of that problem.
One fun thing about melatonin you may not know is that it may make your dreams more vivid, though i think that will vary from person. and when i stop taking melatonin or decrease the # of mg of melatonin i intake, my dreams will continue staying vivid or even get more vivid the following 2 or 3 nights.
I was having trouble sleeping because of general anxiety about an upcoming trip. So I started taking this and all my sleep problems went away almost immediately. So happy I didn’t go waste time on a sleep study for the problems!
Now, the best part is that my dreams are completely insane and memorable. I have had lucid or partially lucid dreams for a month now- I am loving it. As a musician, I now feel like a lot of my best ideas are coming from my dreams.
First I should tell you my previous sleeping habits. It normally takes me 1-2 hours to officially go to sleep. When I wake up, I feel very tired and can barley get up. The last dream I can remember was when I was like 8 and im 19 now. I’ve tried several pills and they never seemed to work.
I stumbled on Melatonin – Time Released. I take one pill at night, i’m asleep within 20 mins. That was what I been looking for, something to help me go to sleep. Laying down with your eyes closed for 1-2 hours is annoying. Sometimes I don’t even go to sleep because it takes too long. When using this, I wake up with energy….another plus. I don’t stay there laying down, eyes barley open, letting time go away. Im up in 8 hours fresh. These pills work, and i’m happy I found these bad boys. Not only that they are very cheap.
About the dreams, Melatonin solved that. I can remember my dreams now, and this helps, being that I want to write movie scripts. I’m so glad that I found these, especially at this time. I’m starting college soon and if I didn’t find these my sleeping habits will effect my learning.
Try them its cheap, and works.
In summer of 2007 Schiff changed the formula of this product to become Kava Kava free, and replaced it with Theanine (calming agent in green tea). I guess most places are jumping ship on Kava Kava because of the bad press it received in Europe.
I presumed since Amazon showed the image, and listed the product as still being the Kava Kava version, I would get that (leftover stock?). However you will receive the new updated Kava free product instead.
The actual product works great, I’ve previously used melatonin by itself and was not able to fully fall asleep (too many thoughts running through my head, etc), this stuff seems to help out with that, and made flying a series of redeye flights not all that bad.
I would give it 5 stars, however you get a different product then Amazon shows, and it is a bit pricey for just 50 pills.
I have owned the Rhino Horn neti pot for about 3 years now, and can’t imagine being without it. I went from getting multiple colds every time the weather changed to getting maybe one or two very minor colds a year. I would probably never get sick if I used my neti pot a little more regularly. I love how it clears out my sinuses when I’m feeling congested and soothes them when they’re irritated.
I really like the shape of the Rhino Horn, and I actually really like that the Rhino Horn is made of plastic. Due to a combination of being clumsy, having a curious toddler and one shared bathroom, mine gets knocked onto the floor quite often. A ceramic one would have shattered long before now, and a metal one would probably be horribly dented. I like that when it hits the floor, I can just throw it in the dishwasher and it’s good as new again.
I recommend neti pots to all my friends and family, especially the ones who are frequently sick or have bad allergies, and those few who have actually tried it agree that it’s one of the best things you can do to keep yourself healthy. It’s so nice to not have to reach for the cold medicine everytime my throat feels a little scratchy.
